Author of "Make Your Home Among Strangers," Jennine Capó Crucet

Crucet wrote the 2015 novel Make Your Home Among Strangers, the first-year reading for Hollins’ class of 2020. Her story collection,How to Leave Hialeah, was named a Best Book of the Year by the Miami Herald, Miami New Times, and Latinidad List. She is an assistant professor of English and ethnic studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. A Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month event.
