Author of "The Measures Between Us," Ethan Hauser, M.A. '93. Author and journalist Ethan Hauser?s fiction has been published in Esquire, Playboy, and New Stories from the South: The Year?s Best. He was a finalist for the Chicago Tribune?s Nelson Algren Award. His first novel, The Measures Between Us, has been called ?a tightly structured and enjoyable work of rare flair and subtlety? by the Irish Independent, an ?elegantly crafted debut? by The Daily Beast, and a ?powerful first novel? by the Toronto Star. Hauser received his M.A. from Hollins and his M.F.A. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and he is an editor at the New York Times, where his journalism also appears.
