The city, along with its Weatherize Roanoke partners -- Appalachian Power, Roanoke Gas, Total Action for Progress, Community Housing Partners, Renovation Alliance, Ride Solutions, and Better Building Works, will celebrate 40 years of weatherization on National Weatherization Day, Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Plaza. There will be information, demonstrations, raffles, and other prizes.
Weatherize Roanoke is a one-stop-shop for home energy needs, offering a variety of programs to keep your home comfortable and healthy all winter. Homeowners are encouraged to sign up for a free home energy assessment. The city has weatherized roughly 9,900 homes with a goal of 10,000.
