Scope of the Position:

The Sales Coordinator assists in the sales effort for the hotel. We emphasize superior service and value delivery to our customers. Reports to the hotel’s Director of Sales.


  • Creating and maintaining sales files; 
  • Data entry in sales system to include creating and maintaining accounts, contacts, and bookings; entering events with function space and food and beverage and entering room blocks; 
  • Completing information in reservations system (full contact info, billing info, tax exempt info, IATA, routing, etc.); 
  • Entering Rooming Lists into reservations system and updating as needed
  • Client response in 4 hours or less if contacted by any client; 
  • Posting charges within 24 hours of group’s event; 
  • Coordinating room set up with houseman/housekeeping to ensure set up is accurate and complete; 
  • Coordination with other departments to ensure client’s requests are completed; 
  • Distribution of weekly event listing to all departments and front desk; 
  • Participation in BEO meetings to ensure complete communication of client needs across departments

The successful Sales Coordinator will blend effective time management, organization, strategic planning and follow-up to ensure a smooth and efficient flow between the closing of a sale and servicing the account. The successful Sales Coordinator will bring most or all of the following:

  • Minimum 2 years in hotel front desk or sales
  • Minimum 2 year college degree
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • High motivation and high energy
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage change effectively.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be a citizen of the United States or possess a valid work permit.
