Join chambers and businesses from across the region for a day dedicated to giving back.
The Annual Day of Giving brings together members of the regional business community to support local nonprofit organizations through hands-on volunteer service projects. Hosted in partnership by the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce, Salem-Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce, Vinton Area Chamber of Commerce, and Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce, this event is an opportunity to step away from the office, serve alongside your team, and make a meaningful impact in our community.
The day will begin with a kickoff breakfast at the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce before volunteers head out to assigned nonprofit project sites throughout the region.
Whether you participate individually or bring a group from your organization, we invite you to spend the day giving back to the nonprofits that work year-round to strengthen our region.
Volunteer projects will vary by organization and may include activities such as landscaping, organizing donations, painting, assembling materials, facility improvements, and other hands-on service opportunities.
We are currently seeking nonprofit organizations throughout the region to host volunteer projects during the Annual Day of Giving.
If your organization has a project that could benefit from a team of volunteers, we want to hear from you. Projects can range from outdoor cleanup and beautification to sorting donations, organizing spaces, assembling kits, painting, or tackling a special project that your team has not had the capacity to complete.
Nonprofits interested in being considered as a volunteer project site should complete our interest form below.
SUBMIT A NONPROFIT PROJECT INTEREST FORM
Please note that submitting an interest form does not guarantee project placement. Participating organizations and volunteer assignments will be coordinated based on project needs, volunteer capacity, and available resources.
The Annual Day of Giving demonstrates what is possible when our business and nonprofit communities come together for a common purpose.
Give your time. Support a nonprofit. Strengthen our region.
We hope you'll join us on November 19.
