Author of "Itself," Rae Armantrout to Speak Frances Niederer Auditorium, Richard Wetherill Visual Arts Center Q&A with the author, Friday, May 1, 11 am, Hollins Room, Wyndham Robertson Library Rae Armantrout?s latest book of poetry, Itself, is due out in February, 2015. Her other books include Just Saying; Money Shot; Versed, which won the Pulitzer Prize in 2010; Next Life, selected by the New York Times as one of the most notable books of 2007; Up to Speed, a finalist for the PEN Center USA Award in Poetry; and Veil: New and Selected Poems, also a finalist for the PEN Center USA Award. Her poetry has appeared in Language Poetries; In The American Tree; Postmodern American Poetry; Poems for the Millennium, Vol. 2; American Women Poets of the 21st Century; and several editions of Best American Poetry. She is also the author of a prose memoir, True. She teaches writing at the University of California, San Diego. Funding provided by the Jackson Poetry Endowment.
