Bread & Puppet Theater returns to Hollins for one night only, bringing their unique brand of agit-prop advocacy, giant puppets, and circus style antics to the Hollins University main stage theatre. “The Public Access Center for the Obvious Presents: The Situation” is a new work written and directed by founder Peter Schumann. This show will utilize the visually rich, street-theatre brand of performance art often associated with the well-known theatre company to perform a dark clown-show that features cardboard horses, an anti-extinction angel, proletariat broom dancers, a swinging brass band, all of whom are urging the Not-Yet-Existing-Upriser-Masses into reality. Doors open at 7 pm. The show starts at 7:30 pm. Seating is first come first serve. |
