Rebecca Lee is the author of the novel The City is a Rising Tide and Bobcat and Other Stories, which was a finalist for The Story Prize and Barnes and Noble’s Discover Award in fiction. Michael Parker’s six novels include If You Want Me to Stay, The Watery Part of the World, and, most recently, All I Have in this World. Drew Perry’s first novel, This Is Just Exactly Like You, was a finalist for the Flaherty-Dunnan prize from the Center for Fiction, a Best-of-the-Year pick from The Atlanta Journal Constitution, and a SIBA Okra pick. Kathy Pories is a senior editor at Algonquin Books, where she acquires literary fiction and narrative nonfiction. Shannon Ravenel has worked in publishing for fifty years, beginning with Houghton Mifflin’s editorial department from 1961-1971. In 2001, Ravenel, a 1960 graduate of Hollins, stepped down as editorial director of Algonquin to create and direct a new imprint for Algonquin: Shannon Ravenel Books. She retired in August 2013.
