Domestic Violence Awareness- Taking the First Step
Recognizing the signs of domestic violence and taking the first steps to safety.
Featuring insights and guidance about the delicate process of dealing with domestic violence.
Speakers:
Christine Smith- Financial Advisor at Smith & Associates - Sister of Lisa Pattinson, featured on Dateline's "Beauty and the Beast Mystery" highlighting a tragic domestic violence case in central Indiana, will speak on the events leading up to her sister's death and how her family strives for domestic violence awareness in keeping her memory alive.
Sharon Thacker- President & CEO of Family Services of Roanoke Valley- Tips from an accomplished social worker to empower community members to notice signs of domestic violence and provide support in taking the first step towards safety.
