Kiwanis Club of Roanoke
Kiwanis Club of Roanoke
About
With 155 members, we are the Roanoke area's largest and most active civic organization, and one of the largest of the 15,000+ Kiwanis Clubs in the world. Networking is an important element for our civically-engaged Club members. Our membership includes city and state government leaders, corporate leaders, nonprofit leaders, church leaders, civic-minded residents, the 2021 Roanoke City Citizen of the Year, and the 2023 Roanoke City Citizen of the Year. Strong connections and friendships occur here. We have awarded over $1M in grants to deserving local organizations during the past decade. We recently built and donated a playground to the City of Roanoke and are currently building, and will donate to the City, a Nature Park; they are co-located in the Melrose neighborhood. Members appreciate the high-caliber local speakers at our weekly meetings; guests are welcomed and a complementary buffet lunch is included. Organizations and individuals choose membership in our Kiwanis Club because of the alignment with our focus on children, older adults, and the environment. We offer a corporate membership option as well as individual membership options.
