FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

5 Points Music’s Capital Campaign to Save The Sanctuary Enters the Final Phase

[ROANOKE, VIRGINIA, November 12, 2024] The final phase of 5 Points Music Sanctuary’s Capital Campaign is coming to a close. Over the next 45 days, the campaign has the goal of raising $100,000 to provide for our final down payments and secure financing to close on the purchase of the Sanctuary.

In 2022, 5PTS began our 3-year Capital Campaign to raise money to purchase the Sanctuary. With the support of our donors, board members, staff, and community partners, we have been able to pay $140k toward the down payment. We are asking for your continued support to help us attain our ultimate goal. In order to keep the building, we will make one more down payment and finance the remaining balance with a local financial institution in January of 2025 and officially take ownership of the building.

“The end is in sight for our Capital Campaign to secure our home for the long haul. The Sanctuary serves as ground zero for our programs and ongoing mission to provide access to music therapy, hearing loss advocacy, accessibility initiatives and public arts programming,” says Tyler Godsey, the Founder/Director of 5 Points Music.  “Without it, 5 Points Music will not be able to have the same impact we have had on families, clients, artists, and our broader community.”

The current lease will end in January of 2025, at which point, we have committed to closing on the purchase of the building. Donations can be made via 5pointsmusic.com/donate, mailed payments, or in person.

To help with this effort, we are asking interested parties and members of the media to invite us to speak on our behalf for interviews, speaking engagements, or group presentations to discuss our work and campaign goals.

5 Points Music Sanctuary’s live events and concerts unite audiences from far and wide, while serving as a platform to promote and support our music therapy, hearing loss advocacy, and accessibility efforts. 5 Points Music Foundation, a recognized 501c3 organization, launched in January of 2017 with a simple mission: “To pursue the power of sound in all its glory.”
