Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)-PRN

BrightStar Care, a Joint-Commission accredited homecare agency, is seeking dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapists (PT) and Occupational Therapists (OTs) to join our healthcare team. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing treatment programs to improve patients' mobility and quality of life. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology, as well as the ability to create effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs. The PT/ OT will work with a diverse patient population, including pediatrics and geriatrics, in various outpatient settings such as home health environments.

***Please note that position is PRN and includes Roanoke and surrounding areas***

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations.
  • Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions including physical therapy techniques, trigger point therapy, and exercise programs.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, exercises, and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress notes.
  • Stay current with best practices in PT / OT through ongoing professional development.

Pay: $100-110 per visit (2-hrs) & $125 for evaluations!

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of PT/OT experience
  • At least 1 year previous experience in an in-home setting
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in physical therapy techniques including outpatient care methods.
  • PT / OT State licensure
  • Reliable transportation
  • Active BLS/CPR certification
  • Familiarity with home health practices and protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare teams
